Team MCC was founded as a "Special Work" in the Great Lakes Dist. by Rob Hadley, a deacon at Holy Covenant MCC.

Deacon Rob has participated in serveral fund raising bike rides around the country and is a member of a GLBT (www.windycitycycleclub.org) bicycle club in Chicago.

In his spare time, his recreational riding took on a focus of stopping by people who appear to be homeless in Chicago and handing 'Tuna Fix-In's' or other food items.

Seeing a need to expand this out reach activity and add it to his love for cycling, Rob asked St. Judy Dale of the Great Lakes Dist. how to fomalize this ministry.

With the approval of the Great Lakes Dist. Committee, Team MCC was born!

Team MCC is a world wide sport club/group to promote all sports and shareing the Gospel message of love.

Our focus right now is to be both a means of support for particpants in the Gay Games to be held in Chicago IL -USA on July 15-22, 2006 and the Out Games to be held in Montreal this August.

We'll also try to provide a spirtual face to all the visitors to both events while in town.

Worship Serives, Spiritual Counseling, a safe haven, etc. can be planned.

Good Shepherd Parish MCC in co operation with the other MCCs in the area are working on a Sunday worship service!

MCC is the Metropolitan Communtiy Chuch, a word wide denomination of Christians by and for the over all GLBT community, and everyone else!

Membership

There is no fee or special requirements to being a member of Team MCC other than being a person concerned for maintaining a safe and fun and healthy communtiy.

Membership in a local MCC is not a requirement for membership in Team MCC.  It's encouraged, but not required!
